Compromise is a cover band from Eastermar built around good company, great music and pure enjoyment. The band was formed in 2014 for a performance at the Eastermarder Muzyk Jûn on 26 June 2014. What began as a one-off appearance at the village festival turned out to be a huge success. Thanks to the many enthusiastic reactions from the audience, the band members decided to carry on together.

In 2015 Compromise took to the stage of the Easterbarren for the first time. The band has returned almost every year since, playing with great pleasure for a loyal and enthusiastic crowd.

A special highlight came in April 2023, when Compromise won the Oerrock play-offs. That victory earned the band a spot on the stage of the renowned Oerrock Festival — a fine reward for years of musical passion and dedication.

Compromise's repertoire is broad and varied, with the emphasis on classic rock, rock 'n' roll, country and the occasional Dutch-language number. The band plays music by artists including:

Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Status Quo, Golden Earring, Herman Brood, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Normaal, The Rolling Stones and Dire Straits

and many other well-known artists and bands.
